Battle of the soxes!

Another battle to the death was what we witnessed last weekend when once again Bill & I joined Bianca at the MCG to watch our football teams fight it out again. And this time we were victorious. After having to listen to the Collingwood song at least 20 times on Anzac day it was wonderful to here it over & over again just last week. Given that we thought Bianca's socks were the key to the Anzac day win, I decided that I had to have some of them. They worked against those pesky boys from the West so what better game to try them out again than this one. Red & Black ruled the day, even Bianca's friend was a Bomber's supporter. The only thing I can't gloat about is that the running score over 3 years is still 4-2 to them.

The week before we had braved the very cold day to watch the Essendon vs Richmond game and it was only the lack of socks (I forgot to wear them) that sealed the Bombers fate that day. At least the weather was warmer the 2nd time round.

We did contemplate making it 3 in a row at the MCG this week but while wandering through the city on his way back from an appointment Bill ran into, well literally accosted, Robert & Anna from Perth and we joined them for lunch at a wonderful little place in China Town. Much warmer than the MCG and we watched the 2nd half of the game on the telly once we got home. Just as well really as I'd left the socks at home so it could have been disastrous again.

A morning spent at South Melbourne, with Brunch at Panini's then over to the markets shopping for tonight's dinner, followed by the usual duties of washing & ironing, completed another weekend.

So with Bill packing again and me back to work tomorrow it's time to go

until next time............
